If you want a great business hire great people. True.
If you want to stay a great business then train them.
ACADEMY INSIGHT
Training isn’t just important here at iSource Group, it’s fundamental to how we operate and what we believe. All of our recruitment team receive regular training (including our CEO). From sharpening our recruitment skills to keeping abreast of industry developments to running through time management and personal responsibility sessions: we heavily invest into our staff development.
We’ve built our own in-house Academy Programme with a complete set of recruitment training modules, training calls, training videos, 90 day on-boarding programmes for new team members. We’ve even got a desk-top go-to manual that covers all aspects of the recruitment cycle.
This level of staff development is unusual for the recruitment industry… so why do we do it?
RESPONSIBILITY
We firmly believe that we have a shared responsibility for the careers of the people who work for us. As employers, we are in a position of responsibility, not power, and we believe that every team member deserves investment into their careers.
CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT
Everyone has weaknesses. Our team and one-to-one meetings identify these weaknesses and inform a rolling personalised training plan for every staff member. It took a lot of work and investment to get this nailed down but we now move from identification of training area to completion of training programme within 30 days – bespoke for all staff.
IT’S THE RIGHT THING FOR OUR CLIENTS
We really want to deliver a first class service to our clients. Clients pay us to provide a service. It’s only right that we re-invest some of their fees into constantly improving our service levels.
IMPROVED SATISFACTION AND MORALE
Our employees are valued. In many cases, they’re highly coveted by many of our competitors. Investing in their futures is a great way to demonstrate how much they mean to us. Our in-house training opportunities develop and challenge our staff – this constant investment helps them feel more satisfaction toward their jobs.
STANDARDS
Not all recruiters are equal… Well the fee you pay doesn’t change from employee to employee so the service level shouldn’t either. We want our clients to know that when they deal with our business they receive exactly the same high level of service regardless of who delivers the service. Consistency matters.
REPUTATION
If you want a great business hire great people. That’s true… to a degree. You also have to provide the best training. Great people and great training are the bedrock of our hard-earned reputation. It’s true, not all recruitment firms value these things.
Our investment in our employees is an investment in their careers, our clients, our reputation and our long term business growth. When everyone gets better, everyone gets better.
